Pursuing Sexual Health and Wholeness

WHAT WE DO...

VICTIM ASSISTANCE
Those who view pornography as harmless entertainment ignore its many victims. To promote victim recovery, we are developing conferences and seminars featuring nationally-known experts, and focusing on achieving relational and sexual wholeness to train those working with victims and provide guidance and hope for the victims themselves. A regional referral network and literature for addicts, spouses, survivors and child abuse victims are also available.

An effective program successful with helping the women who want to leave the "adult entertainment industry is currently operating in Memphis, Tennessee. In just four years, this program has assisted over 30 women with leaving this exploitative and dehumanizing business. We will work with the Citizens for Community Values of Memphis to model this tremendous effort of success. It is our desire to minister to the heart of the women caught up in this business. In assisting the victims of pornography, we recognize the abuses and addictions as mere manifestations of deeper issues. Our focus is on restoration and redemption rather than condemnation.

COMMUNITY AWARENESS
Our communications function includes media relations, materials development, and networking with like-minded individuals and organizations. We will utilize an extensive network developed through the faith community, schools, and civic clubs. We are developing a team of speakers and advocates trained to present the real harms of pornography and the reality and prevalence of sexual abuse, with the knowledge to minister to the real hurts of the victims. A comprehensive library and resource center is being developed to increase awareness and meet the educational, emotional, and spiritual needs of the sexually broken. Materials available to the public include a wide range of well-researched literature composed by the National Coalition, as well as information from organizations such as the American Family Association, the Northwest Alliance for Responsible Media, Citizens for Community Values of Cincinnati, Focus on the Family, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
