KIMBERLY DRAKE, President and Executive
Director As President and Executive Director, Kimberly Drake provides the vision and direction of the Spokane Coalition and leads the efforts of the Legislative Assistance Campaign, Victim Assistance, Computer Pornography, and Community Awareness Campaigns. Kimberly serves as our key spokesperson and handles media and public relations. She effectively presents the vision of the organization and its focus on pornography and its resulting harms. She has been interviewed by national and local media and speaks from personal experience regarding the secondary harmful effects of addiction to pornography. Her background includes first-hand knowledge of the realities and harms of the sexually oriented business industry. This knowledge was attained while employed as an exotic dancer in a local dance/strip club. After recovering from a life of devastating sexual trauma and addiction, Kimberly researched various organizations and sought assistance to help her clean up her community and assist victims of sexual violence and exploitation linked to pornography. In December 1998, she successfully linked arms with the National Coalition for the Protection of Children & Families. Kimberly is recognized locally, regionally, and nationwide for her expertise in the area of sexual addiction and the impact and harms of pornography. She has addressed these issues with various legislative bodies, city councils and county commissioners, law enforcement officials, town hall meetings, high schools, churches, and women's groups. Various organizations are effectively utilizing Kimberly's inside view and professional background to assist in educating the public and stirring the church and community to action regarding sexual brokeness and hurting people. Requests for speaking engagements are in high demand. Kimberly offers her testimony and message of grace and redemption and effectively ministers to the victims whose lives have been harmed by pornography.
